The Komodo dragon are the largest lizards in the world and have been known to eat humans. They generally eat buffalos by biting them and leaving their poison in the wound and coming back in a week when they will be dead to feast on and then go weeks without eating. The islands here were really rugged & picturesque. We did a 2 day boat trip where we spent the first day on Rinca island and then we went snorkelling and saw a beautiful coral and a big turtle. At sunset we watched the flying fox bats leave their trees for caves on another island. We drank palm spirit and slept well on the boat and the next day we went to Komodo island and swam with Manta Raya which are massive rays that look like bats gliding through the water. T'was a brilliant trip
